Day 6: Matthew 7:9-11 Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
Do you ever find yourself second-guessing your prayers? Wondering if God is really listening? Or maybe you think God is so far away from you that praying seems pointless, and so you don’t pray at all.
In this passage from the book of Matthew, God shows us His plan for relationship with us as that of a loving Father and child. This Father is one who provides for our needs with good things. We can trust Him when we are sick and need healing, when our finances are tight and we need provision, when those we love are hurting and need salvation.
As we move forward as a church body, ask God to give you a Heart for the House and show you your part. Pray for the health of our members and staff, for financial provision for our new building, and most of all, for the souls of every person we will be able to reach because of the generosity of our members. We’re all the family of God and we’re in this together!
Prayer: Lord, help me to see You as the good Father You are and trust You more. I bring You my needs today and ask you to provide for every one. Bless Pastor Danny with complete healing and wholeness, and show me my part in our Heart for the House campaign. Thank you Lord, for being my good Father.
